After seeing the latest snow reports for Europe it is time to get excited about the coming season…
Snow fall is already looking good… lets pray it continues to the new year but if you cant wait then why not head out early for a bit of early season action while the snow is falling and get out there before the crowds hit the slopes…
One of the best spots in the Alps right now is Tignes… one of the highest resorts with good transfer times you are going to get the best early season riding about…. for a warm welcome Airhead suggests you check out Dragon Lodge…. we have used them for a few years now and we have always had a great time…
Heres what John at Dragon Lodge has to say…..

“After a great season last year - our 10th season!!! - we’re already open for some pre season glacier action, and with fresh snow falls already on the glacier and more expected throughout next week it’s looking good already and bodes well for a great winter.
The glacier is open now and with full Tignes and Val D’Isere area opening on the weekend of 29th November so there are plenty of reasons for heading out for an early season trip:
*Fresh snow falls across the Alps already mean good early conditions expected.
*Lift pass prices are reduced early season - up until December 20th when full winter rates come in.
*We’re offering free board rental / testing between now and end of December for any guest.
*PLUS, best of all, we’ve just reduced all our prices, for any remaining places, every week between now until January 3rd - including Christmas and New Year weeks - by 20% or more!!!
*For all the details on these great reductions see the ’special offers’ and ‘pricelist’ pages on our website dragonlodge.com or email me john@dragonlodge.com
Have a great winter and hope to see you at he lodge in Tignes soon.
Cheers
The Dragon Lodge crew.”

So after what can only be described as a poor summer unless you kite surf or windsurf but for those who dont it was just wet and windy… far from ideal.
Anyway lets put that behind us and look forward to the winter snow…. yep folks thats right it’s coming…..

Lib Tech Range 08/09
The Toy’s for this winter are the all new Lib Tech Skate Banana range…. these boards are set to take the snowboard world by storm this winter…. giving all round performance on the slopes from Jibbing in the park to deep powder off piste but add in the Magne Traction and you have a board that will kick arse even on piste… sounds to good to be true ??? well believe me it’s not…. make sure you at the very leaste book yourself a date to try one of the new range out….
Lib Tech dont do things by half, their team demand the very very best and super high standards from the kit…. Jamie Lynn and Travis Rice cant be wrong….
For up dates on the boards make sure you come back very very soon….. you know the Airhead will be back with more for your surf and snowboarding soul..

OK I know… I’v been a bad man and not posted anything for a while but this is worth the wait.
Now I have seen some extreme stuff in my time but Paddle Board right next to a live erupting volcano should not be done by the faint hearted…

Pro Surfer CJ Kanuha decided to take Paddle Boarding to another level……
Check it out Volcano Surfing Hawaii

This has to be one of the ultimate paddle board experiences with nature in it’s extreme just feet away……
We hope you enjoy this and dont forget the Airhead will be back and hopefully it wont be so long this time.

Airhead has another Jimmy Lewis Stand Up Paddle Board demo day set for Sunday 1st June….

The Jimmy Lewis range of boards will be on hand for folks to check out and have a go on if the weather permits… for those of you who remember the last demo day I am hopeful that we wont get snow… but you can never tell.
The day is set to start around 11am on Littlehampton beach at the kitesurf school (the blue container opposite the swimming centre) if there are any changes to the times and venue I will post it here or of course you can call the shop on 01903 850831 for more information.
We hope you can make it along and lets pray for good weather this time…
More from the Airhead on demo and other fun stuff very soon.
