With all the great new products hitting the UK the C4 Waterman paddle surf boards are the latest to hit our shores…. aimed at the rider who wants performance and usability… these boards are set to sell out fast.

Stand up paddle surfing is starting to hit the UK and with it comes more equipment to tempt folks onto the water… as the Airhead crew already know from our SUP Club there are more and more people wanting to give the sport a try.

The newest SUP board’s to be introduced are from the legendry O’Shea. The board’s come in two sizes the first is a 10′10″ with a width of 28 3/4″ and the second of an 11′11″ with a width of 29 3/4″… they are both made from tru flex eps epoxy construction and have been shaped by Clyde Beatty from the US…. the price is set to be in the region of £599 and £650 and as with all O’Shea surf equipment they will be worth every penny.

The Airhead stand up paddle surf club is going from strength to strength with new faces on the water every time we head out… the SUP club really is the best way to pick up tips and hints on how to make being on the water easy and safe plus it’s all free, what’s more if you don’t have your own kit and you would like to give it a try then just let us know and you can use ours… so if your thinking about giving it ago then just come along just give us a call first so we have a spare board for you.

I hope you saw Transworld sport early Sunday morning….There was a spot about Stand Up Paddle Surfing with C4 waterman & Brian Keaulana… it was a real treat to see such a top guy promoting the sport in a positive way, with a family history in surfing that would be hard to match. Brain pointed out that Stand Up Surfing is not as new as some would think but is in fact steeped in Hawaii’s past… if you managed to miss it then I am sure it will be on again so keep an eye out, well worth a watch… if you can drag yourself off the water for a few minutes

While checking out the normal SUP sites I found this…..

“It’s official! Along with Starboard, Errant Surf Travel and the Extreme Academy we are proud to bring you The UK Stand Up Paddle Surfing Championships. There will be competitions in Surf and Distance Paddling as well as equipment demos on the beach. The best news of all is, thanks to our sponsors it’s all FREE! I found this info on SUP Forum and info site. What a blast and in September we should see some great surf…. fingers crossed…. book the time off work now and have a great weekend
