OK for you folks who have not seen or had any info on the new <a href="http://store.air-head.com/c4-waterman-m-82.html" rel="nofollow"> C4 boards</a> I have taken a couple of pictures of the 10'6" and a bit of spec on them.

<img src="http://www.air-head.com/images/C4top1 copy.jpg" alt="C4 waterman 10'6"" />

First impressions out of the box:

The board looks really impressive with a great graphic design, the deck grip is everything you would expect but the tail kicker pad is an added bonus... the only thing that’s missing is the raised side grip like the JL deck pad but I am sure it wont effect the performance... time in the water will tell.

<img src="http://www.air-head.com/images/C4bot1.jpg" alt="C4 waterman 10ft6 base" />

The C4 board is thicker than the JL and both the 10ft and 10ft 6" come with tri fin set up which will add that extra bit of grip to the rail.

All round the board looks fantastic and I can’t wait to see how it feels on the water.... I will come back with more info once I have had the chance to get out on it....

Hey Matt,

Going to try and get out Thursday evening to give it a test... just flat water by the look of the swell reports.

I have been at the Surf Show the past 2 days and I have been checking all the new kit coming out.... I will be posting photos and info up on the blog real soon.

I am hoping to get over your way for a paddle some point soon so let me know if you have waves or hitting the water for a flat water session.

Ride Safe

Is the bottom shape flat under the feet? (Where you stand when paddling)

I've heard that helps when trying to go small.

Vee in the tail going how far forward?

Looking forward to reading your review.

Dreaming,

The bottom of the C4 boards are flat. There are no concaves on the bottom according to the guys at C4. Not sure what you mean by the Vee. I surf the 10' and 10'6" and I'm 6' tall and 210 lbs. The 10' surfs the best out of any SUP I've ridden so far and that's at least 10 different makes and models. Check out a video I made so you can see the boards side by side. http://www.standuppaddlesurf.net/2007/09/19/comparison-between-c4-waterman-boardworks-10-and-106-stand-up-paddle-surfboards/
