As 2008 gets into full swing and the weather is warming up dont miss the boat…..
Or should I say dont miss the Stand Up Paddle Boarding…. I cant believe that it’s almost a year since I started my blog and how much I have got hooked on the whole SUP thing…. Waves, flat water I don’t care as long as I’m on the water, and I have a feeling that I will be trying the distance enduro thing this year too…
To pass on the stoke of Stand Up Paddling to others I am doing free come and try demos with some basic tuition thrown in for good measure…. once you have got the bug I am offering free Airhead SUP club membership to anyone who wants to join…. sounds great and you really get is the chance to paddle with others who enjoy the sport… to pass on tips and tricks and the odd BBQ on the beach and generally have a great time….
For the first demo session we will provide you with Board, Paddle and some basic tips to get you out and having a go…. any excuse to get me on the water.
So don’t miss the Stand Up Paddle Boarding for 2008 and give me the excuse to get out on the water…..

Today Pete and Mel Shiplee became the proud owners of a C4 Waterman 9′0″ Batwing Swallow Tail….
As I have said before this board is not for everyone but this couple have been riding the 10′0″ Jimmy Lewis for a year now and Pete is looking for a new challenge…. I am sure that the 9′0″ C4 Waterman will give them loads of fun in the waves
Watch out for Pete and Mel and check the board out if they let you near it….
The Brighton Paddle Round the Pier is getting set for 2008…..
One of the main events for this year is the Oxbow European Stand UP Paddle Board endurance race from Worthing Pier to Brighton West Pier a very nice 10 miles
The whole event takes place on Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July and as always set to be great fun for the whole family… make sure you put it in your diary as the one not to miss this year… The Paddle Round the Pier supports many good causes and Airhead is very please to support this event for the 3rd year running
