The Goofboard uses a roller parallel to the length of the board which is different from the other balance boards we have used. Some balance boards are good for perfecting skate style tricks but the Goofboard is an awesome surf simulator, allowing cross stepping, hanging ten and a feeling of riding a wave while trimming your board… nothing can replace the feeling you get of being on a wave but we recon this is a very close second for perfecting your skill on those days when its flat or you just can get to the water.


Even if you are a seasoned surfer make sure you use the Goofboard on carpet and don’t try and be super cool in front of your mates when using it for the first few times… take it easy and use a chair to steady yourself.. Trust me it’s a lot less painful than ending up on your butt.. after a few times you can forget the chair and get in the grove, then you will really start to get the feeling of riding a wave, start to move around the board keep your movements smooth, the smoother you are the better the ride will feel just like the real thing.

The more we use the Goofboard the more we are enjoying it, for general fitness and getting ready for the next trip to the beach… we have only had the board a few days so we will keep you updated as we keep using it so watch this space.
